Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Finsbury Park Removals is firmly committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly. We recognise our duty to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms across our operations and supply chains. This statement explains the steps we take to identify, prevent, and address the risk of modern slavery, and applies to all employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers engaged by our business.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Finsbury Park Removals provides residential and commercial removals, packing, storage, and related logistics services. Our activities rely on a range of suppliers and partners, including vehicle and equipment providers, fuel suppliers, storage facilities, packaging manufacturers, and labour agencies. We understand that each of these relationships carries potential risks related to labour practices, and we are committed to managing those risks proactively.
Zero-Tolerance Approach to Modern Slavery
We have a clear zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, servitude, and child labour. Any form of exploitation or abuse of individuals is wholly unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. We expect the same uncompromising stance from everyone we work with, including suppliers, subcontractors, and other business partners.
All staff are required to act with integrity and in line with our values, reporting any concerns they may encounter. Breaches of this policy by employees may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Breaches by suppliers or contractors may result in suspension or termination of contracts and ongoing relationships.
Supplier Standards and Due Diligence
We are committed to working only with suppliers and contractors who share our commitment to ethical labour practices. Before entering into new contracts, we assess potential suppliers on their approach to labour, human rights, and modern slavery. We expect suppliers to comply with relevant legislation, maintain fair working conditions, and ensure that workers are employed voluntarily and lawfully.
Our contracts and purchase terms are being reviewed and, where appropriate, updated to reflect clear expectations concerning modern slavery, including obligations to cooperate with audits and to provide information when requested. We pay particular attention to higher risk areas such as agency labour, outsourced services, and suppliers in sectors or regions with known labour rights challenges.
Supplier Audits and Monitoring
We are enhancing our supplier oversight through proportionate and risk-based audits. These may include reviewing documentation, conducting site visits where appropriate, and engaging in direct dialogue with suppliers about their employment practices. Where we identify concerns, we will seek corrective action plans with clear timelines and follow-up monitoring.
If a supplier is unable or unwilling to demonstrate that appropriate measures are in place to prevent modern slavery, we will consider suspending or ending the relationship. Our aim is both to protect individuals from harm and to encourage continuous improvement across our supply chain.
Reporting Channels and Escalation
We encourage anyone working for or with Finsbury Park Removals to raise concerns about possible modern slavery or unethical labour practices at the earliest opportunity. Concerns can be reported through internal management channels or directly to senior leadership. Reports may be made confidentially and will be treated seriously, promptly, and sensitively.
No one raising a concern in good faith will suffer retaliation or detrimental treatment as a result. All allegations will be investigated where appropriate, and we will take necessary action which may include working with law enforcement or relevant authorities.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to building awareness among our staff about the risks and indicators of modern slavery, particularly for team members involved in procurement, operations, and supplier management. Training and guidance will help employees recognise signs of exploitation, understand our zero-tolerance stance, and know how to report any issues of concern.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility. We are committed to continually improving our policies, due diligence processes, and supplier oversight to better identify and manage risks. We will review this statement and our related procedures at least once a year to assess effectiveness and make necessary updates.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement has been approved by the leadership of Finsbury Park Removals and will be updated annually to reflect our progress and evolving best practice in combating modern slavery within our business and supply chains.
